NHS Dentistry
If you are an NHS patient, check-ups are free. Treatment is also free on the NHS for pregnant and nursing mothers until the baby is 12 months old; for anyone under 26 years old, and for those with certificated exemptions. For more information please go to: www.scottishdental.nhs.scot
If you require any treatment but do not fall into any of those categories, as an NHS patient you will pay 80% of the cost up to a maximum which is set at £384 per course of treatment.
The NHS is available to secure oral health; It does not fund cosmetic treatment options such as teeth whitening, veneers, and Invisalign. Your dentist will discuss what options you have available when creating your bespoke treatment plan and let you know about what costs to expect.
